Chateau Peacocks Get Cocky as Guard Dog Lets Down His Guard

Dateline Normandy -- What's a guard dog to do? Well, guard for one thing. But it appears Gaston The Magnificent Sleeping Dog has ceded his own turf to the honking peabirds in an apparent bilateral cease-fire agreement. The dandies can be found all over the grounds now instead of being confined to the shared park with the chickens where they should be. When they're not strutting and pecking around in P's sand box, they're sunning on the outdoor sofa on the terrace or routinely sitting on a window sill as seen above to take in what they deem as their domain. Gaston can only manage raising an eyebrow when he runs into them, choosing instead to focus on the sneaky cats that evade the border fence at chez T. As far as the rest of the Chateau Blanc animal kingdom, things are constantly evolving from the sad (the sole white peacock having to be put down, baby rabbits that Gaston "found.''), to the bizarre (Ounja the horse in full gallop in the front yard after the she managed the open a gate, leaving behind the T's with mouths agape, deep hoof marks in the garden and S trying to track down the panicked mammoth equine in the darkness of night) . In any case, the T's are happy to see Gaston and the other critters have managed a detente of sorts. If he could just convince those dang rabbits to quit stuffing their faces with the T's garden lettuce....~30~

I expect the Chateau to be renamed most any time to: Chateau Circus or Chateau Zoo managed and owned by The Taylors. How neat you have a garden, gardener, animals, fowls, etc. Now, tell me, does it get any better than that? Plus you have an absolutely gorgeous son to bring sunshine to all.
