As Sunstorm Hits Normandy, C Gets Picky, P Gets Persnickety and There Was Much Rejoicing . . .

P was quick to raid the fruit basket...Note that he felt it necessary to put on dad's bike helmet lest he fall on his noggin' while snacking. Gaston awaits spillage...

C, pooped out from picking, takes a timeout on the terrace, while P's motto is `If There's Time to Lean, There's Time to Clean'

P follows Gaston's lead to the fruit orchard

The cassis

Dateline Normandy -- A freak sunstorm overtook La France this weekend, dumping several inches of warming rays and leaving in its wake fewer soleil-challenged folk such as the T's. C took advantage of the beau temps to pick some cassis, or black currant, growing in amazing bunches in the fruit orchard. P was quick to make a move on the overflowing basket to over-sample the dark berries. Plans for the cassis include making some home-grown syrup for the base of the ubiquitous French aperitif -- Kir Royale. Just in time for more balmy days -- hopefully -- on the terrace with cold beverages in hand. Vive la France. Vive l'ete. ~30~

Glad you had a "sunstorm" for a change of pace. I know Perry loves being outside.....no matter the weather. Love your flowers and terrace. Would love to visit and see for myself but, alas, I'll just relish in your recounting your lives and the wonderful pictures. Thanks again, Stephen!
