P Survives First Trans-Atlantic Voyage; Parents' Status Less Certain

Dateline Normandy -- P made his first foray onto American soil - including the exotic states of Alabama and Georgia. Along the way he helped Captain (Grandpa Lawton) Bob steer the Queen Mary on Lake Lanier and charm the flight attendants and passengers aboard the overstuffed and old Boeing 767 as well as waitresses in Gainesville, Georgia. Guests and family at Meredith's wedding in Birmingham seemed equally taken with him and he worked the crowd until he pooped out from jet lag, which he handled remarkably well, unlike his parents. He was also able to spend some invaluable time with his great grandad Lawton, 99, who flew in from Shreveport for the occasion. P was patient enough to sit with mom and dad as they indulged themselves on pizza, Mexican and Barbeque for 10 days. Thank goodness for the Lawton's treadmill. P-Man was also able to see his cousins and aunts and uncles for the first time and is looking forward to their visit to Chateau Blanc as S & C don't envision a flight again soon to the Motherland - but will happily take donations for their Queen Mary II cruise fund for the next trip, with Gaston! ~30~
