Dateline Normandy -- The rain and clouds were upon us for most of the weekend but more encouraging signs of life were evident with the blooming bulbs popping up everywhere. It must be in the air as the critters are getting frisky. The duck pond area looks like a 1960s canard Love-In as our flat-footed friends start getting more intimate, including romantic if not dangerous rendezvous' outside the fenced park where Gaston patrols. As for the chickens, we've been reaping eggs by the dozen lately. On a sad note, we lost Luigi, a snow-white rabbit who lived in the trunk of a huge oak in the chicken park. He was a resident here before we moved in and it was always fun to spot him early in the morning on his rounds before the other animals stirred from their beds. ~30~
