Photos from November 2007 visit to Georgia.....

Dateline Normandy -- The Lawtons lost the grand patriarch this weekend, Great Grandad Bob. He'll be so, so missed by all those he touched, which would mean anyone he ever met. And what a remarkable life he led. A successful businessman, pilot, avid tennis player and most importantly a wonderful husband, father, grandad and great grandad, he had such a zest for life matched only by his gentleness. He made ``Allied Family," or those who came into the family through marriage, feel just like one of his own. We're so lucky to have been able to visit with him last fall and most importantly to have seen the smile on his face as he saw and held P for the first time. It was an unforgettable moment. To have some of it documented here and in photos will be precious for P as he gets older. We know he'll look forward to hearing all the wonderful stories about his great grandparents from Granddad Lawton when the time comes.

A lovely tribute to a wonderful man! I, too, am so happy you had such a grand visit with him last fall and that he was able to meet and enjoy Perry.
I'm so sorry for your loss. He must have been a great man, and it is wonderful that he and Perry were able to meet. I'm sure he was thrilled with your precious little one. Hope you are all well in your beautiful Normandy! Sarah, for all the Eppes
