Dateline Normandy -- Not a lot of news to report this weekend from Chateau Blanc - (other than Perry's new basket obsession and Gaston revealing he's not sure what's up with this `sun' thing - see above). The first real tease of spring arrived in Normandy this weekend with nothing but sun and a bit unseasonably warm for early February -- no complaints at Chateau Blanc. Home projects were put on hold until the next cold, rainy, dreary weekend(s) sure to still come. Who can bother painting inside when there are roads to be cycled, dogs to be walked and Jeeps to be driven about? Also, the days are getting longer with the sun setting at around 7 p.m. now. We're all anxious for the time change in about a month when we officially bury winter, though she often rears her ugly head a few times still before the true warmer weather of late late spring/early summer. It's about time again to stock up on Tavel and Bandol rose' wine at Chateau Blanc for those lunches/dinners/apperitifs on the veranda. Anyone care to join us? ~30~
